Manila, Philippines – STI Education Services Group, Inc. (STI) inaugurated a P500-million academic center in Las Piñas City on September 28, 2016. The brand new 7-storey campus stands on a 10,000 square-meter property designed to accommodate 7,000 senior high school and college students in its system for the coming school year 2017-18.
The STI Academic Center Las Piñas located at Alabang-Zapote Road, Pamplona 3 houses state-of-the-art facilities consisting of industry-grade simulation laboratories, air-conditioned classrooms equipped with flat screen TVs, student activity centers with internet connection, and a covered basketball court among others, aimed to provide a more conducive learning environment.
The campus also uses energy-saving LED lights, a sewage treatment plant that recycles used water and returns it to nature by discharging treated wastewater, and a rainwater harvesting system to contribute to environmental preservation.
It began to hold classes for 2,495 students last August 1, and the completion of the new campus gives ample space and more rooms for senior high school and college students under the Information & Communications Technology, Business & Management, Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Arts & Sciences, and Engineering programs.
“In our pursuit of academic excellence, we constantly upgrade our campuses to deliver our promise and expand our geographical coverage to make real life education accessible for both senior high and college students across the nation,” shares STI President & COO Peter K. Fernandez.
The inauguration of the half-billion academic center is the latest addition to the growing network of schools under STI Holdings, accommodating more than 103,000 students nationwide following the mandatory roll-out of senior high school this year. The STI ESG Network has more than 96,000 students. Other schools under STI Holdings, STI West Negros University and iACADEMY have an enrollment of more than 7,000 students. With 76 campuses, STI ESG is the largest pioneer in senior high school in the country having implemented the program ahead of schedule in 2014.
The fruitful operations of STI Academic Centers in Global City, Naga, Fairview, Novaliches, Ortigas-Cainta, Caloocan, Calamba, Cubao, Lucena, and Batangas led STI to steadily take steps to scale up its educational network and presence in the country.
STI is currently planning the construction of academic centers in San Jose del Monte in Bulacan, and Davao, where operations are expected to begin in the coming years.
